No matter how you slice it, I love food. I love to eat it, make it, look at it, talk about it and read about it. And if it’s dessert-related, hallelujah! Now enter- food bloggers.
Food bloggers? I am nuts about them. I am so thrilled that food bloggers have become an ingrained “thing” in today’s cultural infatuation with food. I feel a kindred spiritual relationship with these food bloggers. And I relate to them on so many levels. While people have tried to refer to me as a chef for years, I have resisted because I’ve had no formal training. I’ve been lucky enough to have the old fashioned kind of training at my grandmother’s and mother’s sides. I get the sense from many of these food bloggers they’ve had similar training and many are even self-taught. Because I’m so crazy about what they’re doing, we’ve begun partnering up with many food bloggers having them create recipes for us, sponsoring events they’re running, having them review our products and more.
I am completely blown away by the vast numbers of food bloggers who have unbelievable recipe creations, photography and writing talent and I welcome their contributions to our business and want to do what we can do to support theirs. I’ll be regularly highlighting their recipes on our website, in my blog and on our social sites, and crediting them with their creations. You owe it to your tastebuds to check out some of their amazing recipes and their blogs.
Julianne at BeyondFrosting.com created the most amazing Dessert Lasagna that’s become a regular family favorite of ours already (and her photo made me drool on my keyboard). Looking at Julianne’s recipes is a favorite pasttime.
