As a kid I always heard that time seems to move faster the older you get. I guess I’ve gotten older, because I feel like I just blinked and here we are staring at 2014.
2013 was an incredible year at Brownie Brittle™ and I want to thank all of you for having inspired me personally with your commitment to our product, your flavor ideas and recipe creations. Whether you love brownies, just their crispy and crunchy edges or ANYTHING chocolate (like me!) we thank you for sharing 2013 with us.
What 2013 brought:
New Flavors – Salted Caramel Brownie Brittle (began production in March) and Mint Chocolate Chip Brownie Brittle (began production in May). And this fall, we even experimented with limited distribution of our “Holiday Treat” and “English Toffee” flavors as well. You’ll see more of these and a brand new flavor in 2014.
New Sizes – Our new 2oz package size launched in late summer and the 1oz package has just begun production. Look for these sizes to begin appearing in convenience stores, vending machines and on our website.
New Retailers – There are really too many to mention, but some of these include Safeway, United Airlines, Toys R Us, Piggly Wiggly, Winn Dixie, Cracker Barrel, Sheetz convenience stores, and thousands of other locations. We have a complete list and continue to add more at http://126.96.36.199/find-a-store.
New Recipes – You guys really inspired us to get creative with our recipes. Your own creations have wowed us. My favorite additions are our Brittled Peanut Butter Buckeyes, our New York Cheesecake with a Brownie Brittle crust. And, since it is the New Year and many of our fans look to our product because it’s a lower calorie item that helps them have their crispy brownies while staying on track, we added a whole new “Low Calorie” category of recipes. The Brittled Banana Shake is just plain yum!
New Experiences – From walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes, partnering with The Weinstein Company®, meeting Oprah Winfrey at the premiere of The Butler and getting to participate in Lifetime’s® Supermarket Superstar, I had some experiences of a lifetime. I’ve pinched myself several times to make sure this was all real.
Giving Back – This is actually my favorite part of all. Our partnership with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer yielded over $60,000 in donations from our Brownie Brittle package sales, and we have you to credit for that. Thank you so much!
All of us here at Sheila G’s want to wish you and your families a very happy and healthy 2014!
